Kendo seminar with participants from Kanto district of Japan in Helsinki was hold on 7-8 March 2009 with support of Finish Kendo Association.
During 3 days (27 February – 1 March) the Kendo seminar was carried out in Saint-Petersburg under the instruction of Finish sensei’s: Mikko Saalonen (6 Dan Kendo) and Markus Frey (6 Dan Kendo).
29 November 2008 the 22st Moscow Open Kendo Tournament was carried out in Moscow.
21 December 2008 the first Saint-Petersburg Kendo Championship was carried out in our city.
44 sportsmen of 5 Saint-Petersburg Kendo-clubs participated the competition
18 October 2008 annual Stockholm Kendo Open International Tournament occurred. Gekken-Club kendoka’s had also participated the Tournament.
