Jintaro Takimoto carried out trainings in Saint-Petersburg from 15 to 21 August 2009. He is PhD student of Kendo chair of OSAKA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH AND SPORT SCIENCES. Takimoto-san came to Russia to train the Russian sportsmen for World Kendo Championships in Brazil and for Russia National Championships in Novosibirsk (Russia, Siberia).
Takimoto-san conducted 9 keiko trainings in Petersburg. In “Gekken Club” Dojo keiko trainings were carried out from 7 to 8 a.m., in the “Shiten Club” Dojo – from 7.30 to 9.30 p.m.
Keiko were immensely interesting and rich of different kendo technique aspects of waza, warming-up, keiko behaviour. We had a great possibility to review well-know things with new yeas.
We want to thank Takimoto0san sincerely and waiting for his coming to Saint-Petersburg again.
In conclusion, we want to thank Russian Kendo Federation President Ruslan S. Aloev for organization of Jintaro Takimoto visit to Russia.
