VIII Open Kendo Festival “White Nights” was held in St.-Petersburg on 13-14 June 2009.
More then 50 sportsmen from Vladivostok, Ivanovo, Moscow, Cherepovets, Elista, St.-Petersburg took part in competitions and keiko.
During the Festival following competitions were conducted:

- Kyu-cup (40 persons)
- Dan-cup (14 persons)
- Teams competitions (9 teams)
